Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DinePort collects, uses and shares information when you order from a restaurant using DinePort or when a restaurant uses our platform.

Information we collect

  • Contact details: name, phone number and email address.
  • Order details: items, customizations, notes, order history and rewards points.
  • Delivery details: delivery address, unit number and courier instructions.
  • Payment details: handled by Stripe. We receive payment status and limited details (like card brand), never your full card number.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic usage logs.
  • Food preferences: text you type into the menu recommendation assistant.
  • Restaurant staff: account email and role information.

How we use information

  • To process, prepare, pay for and deliver your order.
  • To send order confirmations and status updates by email or text.
  • To run the restaurant's rewards program.
  • To suggest menu items you may like.
  • To prevent fraud, secure the platform and comply with law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who we share it with

  • The restaurant you order from, to fulfill your order.
  • Stripe, for payment processing.
  • Uber Direct and its couriers, for delivery (name, phone, address and drop-off notes).
  • Google Maps Platform, for address suggestions.
  • Email delivery and hosting providers, to send messages and run the service.
  • AI providers, to generate menu recommendations from the text you enter.
  • Authorities, when required by law.

Kitchen tickets

Printed tickets attached to bags show only your first name, last initial and phone number — never your delivery address.

Retention

We keep order records as long as needed to provide the service, meet tax and accounting obligations and resolve disputes, then delete or anonymize them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email adrian@dineport.com.

Text messages

Order texts are transactional. Reply STOP to opt out of further messages where supported.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls that keep each restaurant's data separate, and trusted payment processors. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

DinePort is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
